Marie was my best friend in grade school at St. Mary's. We were partners for our First Communion. I lived near the school but spent many an afternoon at Washington Elms playing at her house. Her parents were both so very kind to me. I remember her sister & 2 brothers. I now live in Indianapolis, but have thought of Marie fondly many times over the years.
