George, Karen & Sara

I just found Dannys obituary while researching a local newspaper online, and wanted to let you know that I am deeply sorry for your loss.

The first time I met Danny, I instantly liked him. He was charismatic, polite, respectful, and that smile of his could melt the coldest of snow on a sub-zero day. I also knew of his life struggles, accepted them, and I had hoped he would eventually get things under control.

Danny has left a legacy of two amazing children, Kristina and Ayah, so that his life will continue to live on in others, and I thank him for that.

I had Danny in Kindergarten at the Robin Hood School. He was a sensitive, enthusiastic, loving student who was loved by classmates and teachers. I can so relate to Danny's illness, as I suffer from Addiction myself. I have been sober in recovery for 19 years. The disease of addiction is an insidious one, that affects all walks of life, and ripples into families and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with Daniels family and close ones. The only consolation that comes to mind is that Danny is sober now.

This is a terrible loss. Danny was one of the most authentic people I've ever known, and he always had this genuine sense of warmth and happiness that made him such a great person to be around. I wish I saw him more over the last several years. That feeling you get when you see someone out and about, and you don't want to run into them, and you rush off in an attempt to avoid that awkward five-minute catch-up conversation? Not with Danny - every time I spotted him over the years I'd march straight over to him, and we'd shake hands and chat like old times - and I'd always say goodbye leaving a little happier. I'll miss that.

Wish we could run into each other again. You were a good soul for sure, my man.

My thoughts, strength, and love to Karen, George, Kristina, Ayah, Kimmy, everyone.

I've known Danny for nearly fifteen years. We had some awesome conversations during that time. His family and true friends were so important to him. He thought the world of his parents. He said they were ALWAYS there for him!

Danny really loved his children as well. I really hope you are at peace now my friend. I will miss your smile and your funny stories. My condolences to your family and friends. Til we meet again
