Tribute & Message From The Family

Richard A. Noonan, of Stoneham, passed away on Saturday August 12, 2017 at his home. He was 70 years of age.

Richard spent 10 to 15 hours a week volunteering his time at the Hallmark Health Cancer Center where he helped patients make the best out of this situation when receiving treatments. Richard would go out of his way to make patients laugh by telling them a joke or a story so they could smile. While serving them food or a drink he would make them as comfortable as possible.

During the Vietnam War, Richard proudly defended our freedom by serving as an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force.

Richard enjoyed walking around Horn Pond. He above all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He spent many hours at the baseball and softball field as well as watching them play basketball. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Richard was the beloved father of George Noonan and his wife Bonnie, Sandy Lotti and her husband Rich, and David Noonan. Devoted grandfather of Meghan and Matthew. Loving son of the late Daniel and Marion (Moore) Noonan. Dear brother of Thomas, Robert, Donald, Joyce, John and Barry Noonan and the late Daniel and Steven Noonan.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Celebration of Richard's Life on Sunday August 20th from 2-5pm at the Woburn Elks 295 Washington St. Woburn MA 01801.

Please consider donations in Richard's memory to the American Heart Association PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 or to Hallmark Health Oncology Center 41 Montvale Ave Stoneham, MA 02180.

How sad I am to learn of Richie's passing. He is one of the good guys gone too soon. Richie and I worked together at Microwave Logic/Tektronix. I looked forward to beginning each day with a joke or two from him. What a guy! May his loving and caring nature be the legacy of his short life. My deepest condolences to the Noonan family, and respectful regards and sympathy to Barry, whom I also worked with.

My prayers and thoughts are with you. I met Rich at the Cancer Center where he volunteered and I worked. We all looked forward to his smiling face and always ready with a joke or two. He will be sadly missed by all. Peg

I only met Richard a few times at Rich & Sandy Lotti's home. He was there to watch the grand kids, as we were going out to attend a concert. I enjoyed talking with him about the Boston Bruins. There are only a few people I know that you can engage with in having in depth Bruins talk, & Rich was one of them. I'd like to express my sincere deepest condolences to you Sandy, & your family.

Rich gave his all while volunteering at the Cancer Center in Stoneham where I work. He would check in every day that he worked and always asked if I needed anything, something to help me. He always had a smile for patients and staff and ALWAYS a joke or two. My life is fuller for knowing Rich because of all his giving. I and everyone here will miss him. He was a part of our center since it opened. Thank you Rich....

We send our sincerest condolences to the Noonan family. I'm not sure if I ever got to meet your dad, but I know he's got to be one of the best.....because of the funny, loving, overall gold-hearted kids he raised. He's probably cracking everybody up, up there! His legacy will live on through you. I love you guys.
