Tribute & Message From The Family

Concetta "Connie" Monaco died peacefully on January 23, 2018 at the age of 85, surrounded by all her loved ones at the Sutton Hill Center in North Andover, MA, after living a full and blessed life. Connie was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many and she will be deeply missed.

She cherished being with family and grandchildren, whether it be celebrating holidays, going to kids' school events, or spending one on one time at everyone's homes surrounded by good food, laughter, and hugs. Although her greatest passions were family and friends, she also enjoyed working for more than 20 years as both a medical assistant for several doctors and as a secretary at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Connie was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, involved in lots of social clubs, and was well known throughout the Medford community.

In 1956, Connie married the love of her life Woody Monaco, and raised a family of five children, in Medford, and then went on to welcome and commit her expanded heart to her fifteen incredible grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to leaving behind her husband, she also leaves behind her daughter, Christina Quill and her husband John, Regina Hutchinson and her husband John, her son, John A. "Johnny" Monaco, and her daughter Carla Moriarty and her husband Jim. She also will join her late son, Joey Monaco, in her eternal life.

Connie would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can't refuse, for a celebration from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge 'white light' WELCOME sign, no strings attached, and a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday, January 26th at 10:15am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Connie's Eternal Life in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford at 11:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the family on Thursday, January 25th from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator available. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in memory of her son, Joey Monaco, to Triangle, Inc. in Malden, MA ( whose mission is to equip people with disabilities to achieve their goals and encourage the world to realize they are people with ability.

Woody, Chris, Regina, Carla, John and Grandchildren,
May fond memories of Connie bring you comfort during this hard time in your lives. Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and smile at the fact that you were able to enjoy these before she passed away. After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we've shared with our loved ones who have passed, this is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on, through us.
Let the love of family and friends comfort you during these difficult days, our most heartfelt condolences.

Peace, Love and Friendship, Mary and John
