I worked with Charlie for many years at Wells Fargo and he was such a wonderful, kind hearted human being. He always made me smile and laugh and he always spoke of his love of his family that he cherished. I will treasure the many fond memories I have of him. RIP Charlie. Love and prayers.

I have known Charlie for at least 25 years and he was one of the kindest and most thoughtful people out there. He also had a terrific sense of humor and could take a ribbing with laughter. We had been in touch on a regular basis for the past 2 1/2 years from the time he was diagnosed until two weeks ago and he always made a point to ask me about my daughter and her children despite his own struggle. He was so positive and his faith truly sustained him.

I will always have a special place in my heart for our dear Charlie and I am so sorry that he has left us. Rest peacefully, dear friend.

My cousin is a very kind and generous soul.

Many will miss him.

He lived out his life guided by his beliefs, principles and standards. A fine Irishman, gracious genial friendly and cheerful. Always reaching out to people, he was very caring and inclusive. He liked jokes, telling stories and was the rock of the family.

Always, always positive even through sickness and pain.

A huge believer in the power of prayer and faith that I could only hope for.

Often, I wish I was more like Charlie , except for being stubborn where were evenly matched.

God bless you Charlie.
Take your place among the saints.

Charlie and I worked together many years ago at BankBoston (1991-1996?) and were later reunited at Wells Fargo (2003-2005?). We traveled together on several occasions to visit clients. There's nothing like spending every waking moment with a coworker for five consecutive business days to really get to know him. I learned that Charlie was passionate in his emotions, whether anger, sadness, frustration, joy or triumph. I learned that his family was very important to him. I learned that he truly cared about others. I also learned that, given a set of car keys, he was one heck of a daredevil!

I haven't seen Charlie since he left Wells Fargo, but I've followed his life progress through the grapevine. I'm sad to know that I will no longer be hearing about him.

It was my honor to have Charlie as a friend for almost 45 years. He was an amazing giving person with tremendous perseverance and eternal optimism. He set the example of how to live life. I only wish there were more years for him to live.

My deepest condolences to Kathy, Freddie, Patty, Richard, Jeanne, Mimi, Joey and all the rest of the family for your loss - Charlie was blessed to have such a large loving and caring family. He was so proud of you all.

I will miss him terribly.

Charlie was a great man who always gave of himself and had a calm way of encouraging everyone around him to give more too. In his years as a Brother Knight of Columbus, and as the Financial Secretary, he was always going out of his way to make things better for the council and those the council served. His faith and courage through his sickness touched all of those who were privileged to know him -- if you didn't know the burden he was carrying, you wouldn't realize it because of his positive outlook. I feel lucky to have known Charles.

May God's love shine on Charlie.
