Condolence & Memory Journal

Dear Denise and Ricky,

So sorry to her that Jean has died, she was very determined to live life to the fullest. I had the opportunity to take a couple of classes with her at the Marlborough Senior Center, she was determined to keep living in spite of her pain.

We have great memories of happy times with her and the family during hockey season at MHS in the mid 80's. So many great memories.

Sincere Sympathy,
The Clancy Family

We enjoyed getting to meet Jean on her trek to the wilds of Wyoming. We will always remember the night on the deck at Keyhole Lake. The Wyoming clan trying to pump Jean for stories of Rick's growing up years. She divulged a few, but her pride in what "Ricky" and his great family was doing in Wyoming dominated the conversation. Her love of Denise, Rick and their families was easy to see and hear...I know you will all miss her. Our deepest sympathy and long distance Wyoming support to all of you.

You'll always be a part of my childhood. I never knew zucchini could taste so good! Your cookies and bread made from that unlikely vegetable became one of my all time favorites.

I remember sleeping over Denise's and seeing your albums in the basement. Woodstock, Joan Baez, and I think Led Zeppelin too!! Looking through them all, I, as my small self, saw you in the age of folk and freedom, and I got a little dose of that from you.

Our relationship grew up too. Denise and you, my mom and me visiting together. We always made time to get together even if just once a year, I cherish those times. I never could call you Jean even though you told me I could. You're Mrs. Eiland, mom of one of my oldest and closest friends.

I am so sorry for your loss Denise, Rick(y), and family. You're all a part of who we are.

and the seasons go round and round....I'll miss you Mrs. Eiland.

Love,

Trishy xo
