George was always a decent person. His passing brought back memories from Mission Hill; The Project days; school years in the Mission School System; a teammate in both basketball and baseball; Games at Harvard Medical School where he proved to be one of the City of Boston's great basketball players His sense of humor. Our prayers and best wishes to Maureen and his family during this time of sorrow.

George was a second father to all the neighborhood kids growing up. He really loved having everyone gather together for games, outings, neighborhood parties, etc. He touched so many people and will be remembered with love and kindness by all. Sending my love and prayers to the entire Schlehuber/Marshall family. I love and miss you all!

George ... Still hard to believe your gone. You were like a second Dad to all of us in the neighborhood growing up (we were all really more like family than neighbors). You were always so kind & generous, an all around GREAT person. There are so many great memories growing up across the street. Carline Drive was so special! You will forever be missed. To the Schlehuber clan ❤ My heart breaks for all of you, such a terrible loss
Thoughts & prayers for peace & healing from this terrible loss & know he is in a better place and no longer suffering

Dear George,
I am so glad that Maureen's classmates of 1960 got to meet you and spend time with you at one of our reunions. I know that you had a wonderful time! I could see it in your eyes.

God Bless!

Maureen, children, grandchildren and family,
Words cannot express the sadness we feel over the loss of George. He was family and we loved him.
George was such an extraordinary family man. He cultivated the very tight bond between himself, Maureen, and their wonderful children and grandchildren. They created so many great memories of holidays, vacations, and so many football Sundays together.
We are so grateful he was father in law to our Kristine and Grampy to Olivia and Drew.
That was the bonus we got when lucky enough to get Jeff as our son in law. ❤
Sending love and wishes for comfort to all of the Schlehubers at this deeply sad time.
You will always be in our hearts George and remembered for your life well lived.
Love, Rick and Kathy

Dear George,
From the first day I met you, you welcomed me with a big smile, a gentle laugh and a warm embrace. Through the years that followed, I felt blessed to have such a generous, loving and supportive father in law and grandfather to my children. I'm am so thankful to have had you in my life and for the impression you have left behind on all those fortunate enough to know you. I wish I had told you more how grateful I am for how much you touched our lives. Jeff is the man he is today because of you. I see you in him everyday and I am so thankful for it. You will forever be in our hearts.
Love Always,
Kris

We are devistated by the untimely passing of our dear friend George, Friends for over 50 years, we will fondly remember our trips to the mountains with Maureen & George and Elaine & Bill. We would dub ourselves "the four seasons" characters and laugh histerically while watching the movie. Trivial persuit was a Friday night staple for years and years. We will so miss our friend.

George was the second father to everyone in my childhood neighborhood. He loved to be around everyone and would often take the whole crew to the movies, baseball games, hockey games, skiing....My fondest memory is spending time down the cape with the whole Schlehuber family. George taught me how to search for Quahogs in the sand. In truth, he is one of my favorite people of all time and I will miss him dearly.
