READING – Patricia Mary Johns, 77, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Winchester Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Winchester, she is the beloved daughter of the late Carl and Dorothy (Doucette) Hoyt.

Pat was a lifelong resident of Reading. She graduated from Reading High School, class of 1959 and then attended the Katherine Gibbs School. Pat worked for many years in the Reading school system and then worked as an executive secretary for various banking institutions and retiring from State Street Bank in Boston.

Pat raised her family on Village Street, where she made many treasured memoires with her neighbors and children. She enjoyed reading, classical music, the ocean and Sunday mornings doing crossword puzzles. Pat also loved to bowl and was a member of the East Side Ladies Bowling League. Her greatest joy came from her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend and a special aunt to her many nieces and nephews whom she often spoiled. They lovingly nicknamed her "Auntie Spoil Me Rotten." She will be truly missed by her family and all who knew her.

She is the devoted mother of Laurie E. Lawler and her husband Brian, Kenneth H.Johns, Jr., Kevin J. Johns and his wife Lisa and Kerri A. Woolbert and her husband Paul. Cherished grandmother of Meredith, Madison and Olivia Lawler, Sabrina Franklin, Tyler and Devin Johns and Brendan, Griffin, Grace and Maeve Woolbert, great grandmother of Damien, Lilian, Rylee, Ariah, Alyssa and Lilliana. Loving sister of Carol Griffith and her late husband Kit Griffith, Linda Jones and her husband Bill, Judy Owens and her husband Monte, Coni Russell and her husband David, Chuck Hoyt and his wife Theresa and the late Jere Hoyt. Pat was also the loving and doting aunt to many nieces and nephews.
